Please join us for a FREE parent empowerment workshop as we celebrate the Week of the Young Child honoring our youngest learners!
The Early Learning Alliance Network will present “Parents and Preschool: Key Considerations when Choosing a Quality Program.“
Following the presentation, participants will be invited on an interactive tour of the Urban Chalkboard guided by Dr. Jessica Beer offering a first hand look at the developmental benefits of play based learning and what to look for in a high quality preschool environment.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to see child-centered learning experiences in action and teacher-child interactions during a Fiber Optics Play class!
Registration is required.

Event is FREE to attend
Play before the event or all day after the event for $5/child
$35 Play Punch Passes will be available for participant to purchase before departing.

Supervision
Children will be supervised during ELAN’s presentation in the Play Cafe by The Urban Chalkboard’s Play Coaches*
Infants are welcome but will remain with parent or caregiver

Food & Drink
Outside food & drink are not permitted in the cafe or learning studio
We offer a healthy menu of small plates, snack & baked goods in addition to your favorite coffee, tea & espresso drinks–VIEW MENU
Water bottles, infant formula & breastmilk are always welcome.
Shoes & Socks
Children must remove shoes and wear socks while playing
Forgot socks? Ask the front desk for a pair!
Cafe Tab
We will open a cafe tab upon your arrival. It will reflect stay & play admission in addition to food & drinks charges
Tab must be paid in full upon departure
Caregivers are responsible for supervision of children and their food consumption during the stay*
*Snacks will only be provided to children with permission of caregiver
